About Sola the Salon
Situated in the picturesque, coastal town of Cardwell, North Queensland, is Sola the Salon, a new hairdressing boutique. Sola offer ladies, men's and children's haircutting services, as well as colouring services with a particular interest in lived in blondes, and transformations. We love to do event styling, from formals to weddings, and everything in between.
Owned and operated by fully qualified hair stylist Tennille Capstick, Sola was born to offer the clients of Cardwell and surrounding areas a space to unwind and relax and enjoy a luxurious hair experience. Using only the best professional hair colour and products NAK, an Australian owned and made company, you can expect a one-on-one service experience, where we aim to deliver the hair of your dreams, whilst also ensuring hair health and integrity.
A bit about Tennille: Tennille is a local Ingham gal, born and raised, with a longstanding family history in Cardwell. Her grandfather Les Kirk was a prominent figure in the establishment of the Cardwell Coast Guard, and her family have maintained roots here ever since.
She completed her hairdressing qualification in Townsville in 2012 and has worked in a variety of salons in Queensland and in NSW. Since moving back home to Queensland, her love for hairdressing and being creative has always remained. She is thrilled to have this opportunity to have her own little salon, in what she considers paradise. This is a dream realised.
As of January 2025, Sola the Salon welcomes Senior Hairdresser Carly to the team. Carly is also a local Ingham gal with a passion for everything hair. She will be working every Monday and Tuesday, and every second Wednesday in the salon, and offers all colouring services, ladies' haircuts, men's haircuts, children's cuts and all styling services.

All services are individually itemised. For example, if you are wanting half a head of foils and cut, individually select the half head of foils service that corresponds to your hair length, a gloss toner that also corresponds to your hair length and a post colour haircut (which includes styling of your choice). If you are unsure on what colour you're wanting to have done, please reach out to us and we can have a chat over the phone and arrange your appointment for you. Alternatively, book in a consultation colour appointment in-store.
Yes, yes you will - where would we be without a cheeky text reminder! If you have to cancel, we ask that you allow a minimum of 24 hours notice, so we have time to fill the appointment.
